Speaking as a prospective dog owner (after a >30 year gap) is that a particular breed, or simply a particularly lovely mongrel?
PS - I love your blog, though have never been compelled to comment before. Especially love the shameless flip flopping between "gear head" and "it's not the kit that matters", which speaks to me very well!

Our 87kg great dane will lick any "threat" to death as well.
